Bo Dohmen has been serving as the Senior Manager for Nutrition & Health at FoodDrinkEurope since January 2022. In this role, she oversees regulatory and policy matters related to nutrition and health within the European food and drink industry. In her current capacity at FoodDrinkEurope, Bo has contributed to discussions on topics such as food processing and sustainability. For instance, she interviewed Professor Vincenzo Fogliano from Wageningen University & Research to explore the role of food processing in achieving more sustainable food systems.
Prior to her tenure at FoodDrinkEurope, Bo worked as the Public Affairs Manager at the European Flavour Association (EFFA), where she engaged with multinational and multilingual stakeholders, including association members, European institutions, and other key partners. Her responsibilities encompassed monitoring EU legislation, developing advocacy strategies, and drafting position papers and briefing notes.
Bo holds a Master of Science in European Studies from the University of Gothenburg, Sweden, completed in 2017. She also earned a Bachelor of Arts in European Studies with a specialization in Communication & Public Policy from Zuyd University of Applied Sciences in Maastricht, the Netherlands. During her academic journey, she emphasized the importance of internships, recognizing their value in gaining practical experience and enhancing employability.
