Mikkel Andersen, Global Lead on Health & Nutrition, Lantmännen Unibake International

Senior marketer with local and global responsibility for business development, category, marketing, and project management in complex environments. Mikkel is a passionate advocate for healthier food, and lead initiatives at Lantmännen Unibake to enhance the nutritional profile of baked goods. By focusing on addition of wholegrain and fibre and reduction of salt and calories, Mikkel leads Lantmännen Unibake’s global ‘Baking for Better Health’ journey – positively impacting public health as part of the global sustainability strategy.

Mikkel has 25+ years of experience in food & beverage manufacturing industries spanning categories like beer and bread – both grain-based staples. Past responsibilities include local and global category strategy and portfolio optimization, innovation management, brand and communication strategy, development of production capabilities and team leadership. Mikkel previously also taught International Sales & Marketing Management at Copenhagen Business Academy.

As a Governing Board member of the Whole Grain Initiative and part of the Scientific Committee arranging the Whole Grain Summit, Mikkel hopes to contribute to dialogue and collaboration on increasing the consumption of wholegrain through increased private sector engagement across the entire field-to-fork value chain.
